A major television news company seeks an aggressive, pro-active, creative producer to join our team. The successful applicant will have strong editorial judgment, ability to work seamlessly across multiple media platforms, proven logistical skills, a positive attitude and an ability to work in a team environment. Superior English-language writing and speaking skills are required. This position also requires the ability to work under unyielding deadline pressure and working odd hours. The position will involve coordinating news reporters and event coverage. Qualified candidates will also work on developing story ideas and monitoring packages. A university education is preferred.
Job Requirements:
-Several years of television news producing or editorial experience
-The ability to work well in a fast-paced and intense atmosphere
-Flexibility to work various shifts when needed, this shift will include weekends
-Motivated, self-starter who is able to work independently as well as in a team environment
-Ability to multi-task and prioritize is a necessity
-Creative Thinking
- Strong News writing ability and confidence to copy edit scripts and reporter packages
- Work well under pressure & tight deadlines.
- Comfortable in a supervisory role
- Superior English-language written and verbal communication skills.
